- Dales Trail 2012
This year saw us start from a new venue, Romanby Golf & Country Club.
This proved to be a popular choice, but it could be put down to the
availability of bacon butties? A fine selection of cars gathered ready
for around 100 miles of dales motoring, we pre ordered a sunny day but
with the weather of late hopes were not that high but it was bright an
sunny, result !
Cars set off around 10 - 10.30am and headed off into the countryside in
the direction of Ripon, then to Masham and over the moor to Lofthouse,
into Pateley Bridge, then towards Grassington turning towards Kettlewell
and over the moor to Aysgarth, through Preston under Scar to Catterick
and back to Romanby Golf & Country Club.
A presentation of some local produce was made to the furthest travelled
to the event, Ron & Julia Southcott from Devon ! 325 miles from home.
then the raffle was drawn to finish off the day.
The Yorkshire Dales Classic
Car Club would like to thank all those who helped on the day, Craig and
staff at Romanby Golf & Country Club and all who entered the
event, we hope to see you all again next year.
