2015 Evening Run - 1st July 2015
Billís Bangers and Mash Run
Bill Burton Organised our second evening run of

Over to Dave Simpson our on the spot reporter:-
After a blisteringly hot day followed by a wild thunder storm the
evening was warm and pleasant for our bangers & mash run.
Another very good turnout of about a dozen cars gathered at the start
including a couple of club first timers in Ian Parminters really nice MG
TD and Geoff Dodds white Mazda MX.
The cars set off in convoy up to Bullamor and
on to Snilesworth moor around the notorious hills and windy roads
towards the moor on Sutton bank top before descending Harmby bank and on
to the Fox & Hounds for supper by which time we were all ready for a
cooling drink and food.

Martin Vinsonís Jaguar which suffered a loss of brakes without damage I
might add and he limped slowly to the finish with use of the hand brake
and what footbrake he had left. I think he got home safely as I have
heard nothing to the contrary.
Is that a shaky camera hand
or a flying Martin with no brakes?
Although the route took in some of the lanes we used last year including
the mill stream it was new to some of our group and well enjoyed. A
successful evening and some useful giveaway pens and L E D key rings
courtesy of Maxwellís Electricals handed out by Bill completed the
Some people just donít know
when to go home!!
I trust everyone had a good evening.
