2015 Cobweb Run
Report by Dave Simpson
To run an event in England which involves outdoor activities one must retain a sense of humour, at least where the weather is involved. The previous week had been great even the day before but on the day in question it was, well to say disappointing is an understatement, wet, very wet, all soft tops on and even some more every day cars appeared as it was not ideal if your hood wasn’t entirely watertight. However the main thing was everyone did turn up and we set off in good spirits in true British tradition.
The route set up by Sheila & Tony in faultless style took us out over the moors by Osmotherly and Carlton Bank which is always a good exercise for the older cars over Chop Gate and on to Westerdale eventually to Rosedale where lunch was booked.
I think the idea being to enjoy the views etc on the way so ample time had been allotted but unfortunately the good old British weather put a stop to views and picture taking so we arrived at the hotel a bit early for lunch but it enabled us to have a good chinwag etc.
